Purple Diversity

Here is what I've been up  to this week! I've been so busy with my sick husband, working full-time and packing to move, I painted away my stress every night...

The first thing I did was to paint some purple Gerber daisies for a friend for Christmas. I found a great steal at Michael's on wooden frames last night so that will work perfectly!

Still in the purple mood, I painted some Saskatoon berries using a very watery technique. I really like how they turned out.

Continuing with my purple theme, I did a few scenes on postcard size watercolor paper:

It's amazing to see all the purple in our surroundings. I hadn't given it much thought until I went through this week's work. Purple x 4.

So on Thursday night I painted something blue. Enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I love all the paintings you are showing, Telva, and especially those with purple, since I seem to be in a purple stage! But I'll have to say that the blue painting really is fantastic too. Art is indeed a great stress reducer.

  3. nice use of colours. Its perhaps useful for those with bad eyesight to get rid of the word verification..I tend to monitor blog comments instead before they are published..hope this helps

    1. Thanks for your comment - I'm new at this so is "word verification" where you have to enter something in order to post? I do not see that when I post here. I will check it out this weekend and see if I can turn it off. Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Thanks Sharon - I'm not sure next week will be any calmer, but the week after will be - we're going to Mexico for a week before our big move. :-) Have a happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Wow Telva, you've been really busy this week. Your paintings are all beautiful , but the first one (framed) stole my heart. What a spectacular gift.
I've not done much lately, World Chess takes most of my days right now. We're hoping for a Norwegian 22 years old boy to win the title.
I hope your husband will recover soon, and that things will settle down a bit for you.

    1. Good afternoon Laila! Good to hear from you. Hope the Norwegian is the World Champ! Bruce is getting better and better daily (yay!) and next week will be spent packing for the move. Looks like we will be moving the last week of December. Painting will keep me sane!
